Individual Therapy
Counselling provides a supportive and confidential space to explore personal challenges, strengthen coping skills, and promote emotional well-being. All therapists at Paramount Psychology and Counselling use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches to help clients navigate issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, eating disorders, anger management, grief and loss, self-esteem, life transitions and more. Through collaborative goal-setting, guided reflection, and hands-on activities, counselling fosters insight, resilience, and positive change in a safe and compassionate therapeutic setting.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is a space to reconnect, communicate better, and work through challenges together. Whether you’re feeling distant, stuck in patterns of conflict, or just want to strengthen your bond, couples therapy can help you understand each other and your patterns on a deeper level and learn to work together as team. With the support of one of our trained couples therapists, you’ll learn practical tools to rebuild trust, improve communication, and create a more connected, fulfilling relationship.
Sex Therapy
Sex therapy provides a safe, judgment-free space to talk about intimacy, desire, and sexual wellbeing. Whether you’re navigating mismatched libidos, performance concerns, pain, or changes in connection, therapy can help you understand what’s getting in the way and rebuild closeness. With the guidance of a trained therapist, individuals and couples can explore their needs, improve communication, and create a more satisfying and confident sexual relationship.
Child Therapy (ages 5-12)
Child therapy offers a safe and supportive space for children to express themselves, process emotions, and learn healthy ways to cope with challenges. Using age-appropriate techniques such as play, art, and talk therapy, our child therapists help children manage issues like anxiety, depression, behaviour concerns, trauma, grief, and family changes. Therapy supports emotional growth, strengthens resilience, and helps children thrive at home, school, and in relationships.
Teen Therapy (ages 13-17)
The world can feel increasingly overwhelming for today’s youth—filled with pressures, uncertainty, and constant change. Teen therapy offers a compassionate space to pause, reflect, and find clarity. Our therapists help teens navigate challenges with identity, relationships, school, and mental health, while building confidence and resilience. With the right support, teens can make real, lasting change and move toward a stronger sense of self. Let us help them find their way forward.
Seniors Therapy (ages 65+)
Counselling can be just as essential for older adults as they are for younger populations. Later life can involve significant transitions such as retirement, changes in health, loss of loved ones, evolving levels of independence, and reflections on mortality. Many individuals also face challenges related to isolation, chronic illness, or physical limitations. Addressing these concerns in therapy can help enhance emotional well-being, strengthen coping strategies, and restore a sense of meaning and quality of life.
To help make therapy more accessible, we offer online or in person therapy, and we’re proud to offer discounted rates for seniors. Our goal is to reduce barriers, as we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and find renewed meaning in life—at any age.
Family Therapy
Family therapy offers a space for families to connect, communicate, and tackle challenges together. Whether you’re navigating stress, life changes, or ongoing conflicts, therapy helps everyone understand each other better and work toward solutions as a team. The result? Stronger relationships, healthier boundaries, and a more supportive, resilient family dynamic.
Free 15 Minute Consultation
Curious if we’re the right fit? Book a free 15-minute consultation to meet your therapist, share what you’re looking for, and get a feel for their style and approach. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure way to see if this could be a good match for your needs. If not, schedule a consult with someone else. Therapy is all about finding the right fit, so keep looking till it feels right!
Professional Consultation and Supervision
Clinical supervision and consultation support mental health professionals in developing their skills, ethical awareness, and clinical judgment. Clinical supervision and consultation support mental health professionals in developing their skills, ethical awareness, and clinical judgment. Consultation is a collaborative, as-needed process that offers guidance and perspective without evaluative or regulatory oversight, supporting independent practitioners in navigating complex cases and professional challenges. Supervision, by contrast, is a formal, ongoing process in which the supervisor holds professional responsibility for the supervisee’s clinical work. It carries a gatekeeping role to ensure client welfare and professional competence, with the supervisee’s practice actively and routinely monitored.
